The seamy side of blogging...
I guess I should call it the technical side. In any case, I haven't really mastered it. There are lots of things I can't get my computer to do: port forwarding, anyone?
I can't seem to log on to any group blogs, although I used to post at blogcritics. I think there are some weird viruses on this computer. Also a lot of crep.
The computer will also have nothing to do with Adobe Reader. Why? I couldn't get the IRS forms I needed printed. Annoying.
Would a new computer help? Or should I lug this thing into one of those Geek Squad places? Warning: It's heavy. I don't want to move it if it is at all possible to avoid.
Another thing: I seem to be stuck in bird territory, readerwise. How can I break out? I've been doing this for over two years. It's time someone discovered how brilliant I am.
Grrrr!
We now return to our regular programing.

Just out of curiosity, when's the last time you did any hard disc maintenance?
You know- defrag, scan disc (error checking for XP) or even just a disc clean up?
I know they help when my computer gets kinda 'funny'.
M - I'm no expert by any means, but I always try to comment on other bogs often - if I have something non-idiotic to say - and post often. I never have a day with just one post - even weekends - just in case. Sometimes I write crap, but sometimes I get lucky.
Make sure you ping your blog after you post, and trackback to other posts you find interesting.
Just my $0.02.
Kurt: You're right, I need to defrag.
Wyatt: I've never been able to figure out how to ping or trackback. I TOLD you I don't know what I'm doing.
Port forwarding? I will be...
The mere question is to geeky, not to mention the improbable answer.
I didn't even know I had ports, let alone port forwarding.
