10, 8, 7, 6, & 4 I have actually read. The others I don't recall ever saying I did. Don't see the Hawking book on the list. At one time it was supposed to be the most popular, most bought, most unread book out there.
I'm not against long books. I have read War and Peace, Anna Karenina, and Middlemarch. Also read and enjoyed a doorstop called A Suitable Boy, by Vikram Seth. If you can lift it, read it by all means.

I read Les Miserables and Moby Dick, and am struggling through deTocqueville. It's heavy lifting.
Mr Charm not only read Macchiavelli, he wrote a paper on it, and I typed it. So I consider that I read it by proxy.
