I couldn't link to it--the online version didn't have it. That's why I said, "something like this." instead of saying "this is what it said."
Perhaps next time photograph or scan it. Otherwise it's unbelievable hearsay.
The Austin paper had a similar headline (without the "bigot"), but "balanced" it by saying he was "controversial," albeit "a conservative icon." In any case, it's for sure not many (if any) liberals or gays wept.
Well, having died on the Fourth of July he is in excellent company: both John Adams and Thomas Jefferson died on that day.
